Proudfoots Boathouse was named after the family who established it. I always wanted to visit the Shire!
These photos were taken during my family holiday to Warrnambool, on the Shipwreck coast of Victoria.
Below at the mouth of the Hopkins River. Sunny, but cold.
It's a rugged, beautiful coast yet treacherous for ships. The wind blows up from the Antartic and the ship's captains had to make it through Bass Strait into the Harbour at Melbourne. Some didn't. There were over 200 wrecks along this stretch of coast during the 1800s.
I took these photos and am using them as desk top wall paper.
