The three books follow the lives of three of King Rolen’s children when Rolencia is invaded by their ancestral enemy, Merofynia.

Book One     ‘Byren’s Bane’

At just twenty, Byren is the younger of twins and the spare heir to the Rolencian throne. When a Seer claims he will one day kill his twin, he laughs. But he does not anticipate a series of events which drive a wedge between himself and Lence Kingsheir. Enduring loyalty could be Byren’s greatest failing.

Book Two   ‘Fyn’s Fate’

At nearly seventeen, Fyn is a peace loving priest who finds himself alone, his family murdered by the invaders. Believing the only honourable thing to do is to take revenge on the Invading Commander he tracks him down. But what he learns along the way changes his plans and changes his perceptions of himself.

Book Three  ‘Piro’s Paradox’

Since the invasion Piro has been training her Affinity under the Mage’s direction. When Byren attempts to win back Rolencia Fyn goes to his aid and both disappear. Piro has vowed never to use her Affinity for evil, fearing she will become corrupt like many Renegade Power-workers. But if she wants to save her brothers she must use her Affinity. She must decide if a small evil prevents a larger one, is it morally acceptable?
